"I'm not sure how to be a man, for I was not raised by one."

Scott Lavene is an outstandingly talented musician and performer, who has developed and written a brand new, thought-provoking one-man show for this year's Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe Festival (BEAF).

Moving and truthful, yet witty and laugh aloud funny, the Truth About Men is a fearless exploration of masculinity and fatherhood.

Imagine Ian Dury with a touch of Stephen Sondheim.

The work has been directed and dramaturged by award-winning writer and director Nell Leyshon with funding from Arts Council England, BEAF, Activate Performing Arts, Lighthouse Poole.
